Leaving a L.E.G.A.C.Y

L.E.G.A.C.Y. is a facilitated journey of personal discovery related to simple concepts that we are all aware of subconsciously, but rarely process consciously.  The course provides practical exercises that allow participants to engage in both introspection and group dialog associated with:

  • Leading by Example
  • Encouraging/Exhorting Someone Daily
  • Growing Personally and Professionally through Specific Developmental Objectives
  • Accepting New Ways of Thinking/Adjusting Old Ways of Thinking
  • Creating Opportunities to Forge Stronger Relationships
  • Yield Outstanding Team and Personal Results through Consistently Modeling LEGACY behaviors

After a brief introduction, the session begins by asking a simple question:  What is legacy you wish to leave behind?  Each segment of the session provides the participant with opportunities to personally analyze where they stand relative to where they desire to be and then make conscious decisions on what behaviors need to be adjusted to achieve the desired results.  Participants leave encouraged and challenged at the same time but all will have a real sense of their legacy and how it can be used as a filter for everything they do.

Central Florida Human Resource Association

Receives Distinguished Award

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Alexandria, VA has awarded the Superior Merit Chapter designation to the Central Florida Human Resource Association for its scope of work in perpetuating and supporting the mission of the organization in 2006.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 210,000 individual members, the Society’s mission is both to serve the needs of human resource professionals and to advance the human resources profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 100 countries.

CFHRA is one of 111 chapters receiving the distinction in SHRM’s Southeast Region comprised of 11 states and 147 affiliated chapters.

“By achieving Superior Merit designation, your chapter has distinguished itself as an outstanding organization dedicated to serving the networking and professional development needs of your members and to the advancement of the human resources profession” noted Keith J. Greene, SPHR, Vice President, Member Relations for SHRM.

CFHRA receives a Certificate of Recognition, a specialized banner to display at its meetings and events, and is being recognized in SHRM’s publications and at its conferences.

CFHRA was recognized for the level of programs it brings to its membership, our diversity award initiative, legislative letter writing success, and our overall membership education program.

This keeps a long continuous streak of Superior Merit Chapter designation for the CFHRA. Congratulations to all!
